Christian Michael Hammons was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, the second of three children of Duane Hammons and Melonie Iglehart-Hammons.

He grew up playing alto saxophone in church every Sunday, and went on to earn a bachelor's degree in music and a master's in biblical and theological studies. In March 2020 he began producing and recording his own music, as a way to use the gifts he believes God has given him.

Today he makes Christian Jazz: worship, hymns, and original music on alto sax. He also produces, teaches, and opens up the scripture behind the songs.
